Der behandelnde Chirurg diagnostizierte bei dem jungen Mann eine verrutschte Kapitale femorale Epiphyse (SCFE) und f\u00fchrte ein perkutanes Pinning-Verfahren (Einsetzen eines Implantats in die H\u00fcfte) durch. Der Chirurg brachte den Patienten sp\u00e4ter f\u00fcr einen zweiten Versuch, der ebenfalls erfolglos blieb, in den Operationssaal (OR). Diese beiden fehlgeschlagenen chirurgischen Versuche beinhalteten erhebliche Dosen von An\u00e4sthetika und Bestrahlung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The patient was then transferred to the children\u2019s hospital in the same medical center where the fifth-year orthopedic resident on duty practiced with a SCFE training module four consecutive times using the PrecisionOS iVR system The resident, who had not observed nor performed this procedure in more than two years improved his 3D spatial awareness by using the capability of the VR software to pull the deformed bone out of the body, and, after using many unique approaches and implant sizes offered by the PrecisionOS training module, determine the right implant for the procedure.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After completing the training, where his practices showed he had improved his performance evaluation from 70% to 93% (maximum score 100%). on PrecisionOS\u2019 proprietary Precision Score<sup> tm<\/sup>  Anschlie\u00dfend ging der Assistenzarzt in einen Live-OP (nur unter Aufsicht eines p\u00e4diatrischen Facharztes f\u00fcr Orthop\u00e4die) und positionierte den Knochen an der richtigen Stelle.
