PrecisionOS Technology is excited to be a part of the HARMONY team, led by CGI, one of the largest IT firms in the world. The project has been commissioned by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). The team has been awarded contracts to build prototypes of the Connected Care Medical Module (C\u00b2M\u00b2), a container-based concept for mobile medical clinics that can be rapidly deployed in remote, northern, or indigenous communities across Canada, as well as in regions affected by natural disasters and future lunar and deep space missions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to CGI and PrecisionOS, the team also includes Hexoskin (Carr\u00e9 Technologies Inc.), OKAKI Health Intelligence, 12Volt: Games Studio, and Dr. Carolyn McGregor of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. PrecisionOS Technology will provide its advanced medical technology and expertise to the C\u00b2M\u00b2 project. The C\u00b2M\u00b2 is a scalable, integrated system of state-of-the-art medical technologies and methodologies contained in a deployable unit. Its core computer-based system facilitates the incorporation and interconnection of the latest medical technologies, enabling multiple configurations based on the end users’ needs. These technologies increase the user’s ability to independently detect, diagnose, treat, and\/or monitor health conditions on site, improving the timeliness, quality, and continuity of care, refining clinical decision-making, and reducing the need for risky and expensive medical transportation of patients from remote regions to urban hospital facilities. The C\u00b2M\u00b2 is initially being developed for use on Earth, with the ultimate goal of operation in space. The shipping container design allows for easy deployment across Canada via the existing intermodal freight transportation network and can be scaled down and adapted as needed for deployment in remote communities and space applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
