Esboço do estudo: um paciente de 15 anos com dor crônica na virilha e nas pernas. O cirurgião responsável pelo tratamento diagnosticou o jovem com epífise femoral capital escorregadia (EFC) e realizou um procedimento de pinagem percutânea (colocação de um implante no quadril), interrompendo a cirurgia devido à dificuldade de visualização e interpretação da estrutura óssea da perna. Posteriormente, o cirurgião retornou o paciente à sala de cirurgia (SO) para uma segunda tentativa, também sem sucesso. Essas duas tentativas cirúrgicas fracassadas envolveram doses significativas de anestésico e radiação.
