VANCOUVER, BC, 2 de agosto de 2022. PrecisionOS, whose medical grade virtual reality (VR) solution is being utilized by institutions around the world, will co-host a VR surgical training conference with CONMED. Several junior surgeons, senior faculty members, and officials from Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Trust in England will participate on August 4, 2022, at the Gordon Museum of Pathology at King’s College London.
Mr. Adil Ajuied, a Consultant Specialist Knee Surgeon, and a Lead with Academic Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, was responsible for setting up the event. He states, “The challenges facing surgical training in the aftermath of the global pandemic are unprecedented. We are asking for the highest standards in clinical care and technical skill from our young surgeons while they struggle to support healthcare systems buckling under the strain of the aftermath of the pandemic. Surgical education and training require a paradigm shift in the way we interact, communicate, and educate core knowledge and technical skills. For these reasons, we have partnered with PrecisionOS and CONMED to deliver this virtual reality surgical training event. We are working closely with our VR partners to develop and establish innovative and robust modes of surgical training to upskill and empower the surgeons of the future.”
The focus of PrecisionOS is on clinically relevant and evidence-based training and education geared for all levels of surgeons and healthcare providers. “Our fundamental approach is to enhance, challenge and personalize surgical education and training towards proficiency. Given the impact well-trained healthcare providers can have on outcomes, the implications of our platform to deliver on that ability forms the core of our company” said Dr. Danny Goel, an orthopedic surgeon, and CEO of PrecisionOS.
